Erik Uyttendale is the VP of material planning and logistics at Volvo Car Corporation. Over the last 22 years at Volvo Erik has held various engineering positions in production, distribution and operations. Erik has a vast experience within the total value chain from order to final delivery. In his present role, he looks after logistics engineering such as new products, product structure, material handling engineering and packaging engineering. Erik’s responsibilities also include logistic processes for the overseas operations including the Chinese growth development.
Erik has been a member of the Board of Odette Sweden since 2007. In this forum he plays an active role in developing the logistics in Sweden. The turbulent automotive industry and the financial crisis have encouraged Erik to develop his virtual leadership within Volvo.
